This course covers classroom review of Asbestos Awareness and Health Effects, Cal/OSHA Regulations, and AC Pipe operations. Instructor utilizes Meridia Audience Response PowerPoint Slides in the classroom training sessions. Participants respond to interactive questions by pressing buttons on individual keypads. The responses are collected in real time and displayed on the screen through a graph.
In addition to classroom instruction, there is a hands-on portion for this training. This course provides two hours of California Dept. of Public Health safety training for CDPH certified water distribution personnel.
Students receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the class.

Michael C. Sharp is the owner, CEO and Director of Training for Hazard Management Services, Inc. and former Director of Training for Lead and Asbestos Courses for UC Berkeley COEH program. He has been conducting asbestos, lead, mold and other hazardous materials investigations, designing projects and conducting project management since 1984. Mr. Sharp has been teaching various subjects at UC Berkeley’s Extension and COEH since 1997. Mr. Sharp is an accredited Cal/OSHA Instructor, Certified California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Lead Instructor and Federal EPA Renovation Repair and Painting (RRP) Certified Instructor. Mr. Sharp conducts presentations and workshops concerning hazardous materials involved in remediation, renovation, demolition and new construction, as well as Healthy Homes, at conferences and seminars across the Country.
